If you’re like me, you occassionally accidentally mark on your clothes with an inkpen.  I’m sure that one day, I’ll find M covered in ”creative writing” and will really put this trick to the test. I’ve found that if you saturate the ink spot with hairspray, the ink will come out when you do the laundry. 

I can’t remember where I found this tip, but I’ve been doing this for YEARS! I can remember using this trick as a babysitter in high school when I found that my young charges had marked on something with an inkpen. There have been very few times when this has not completely gotten the ink mark off of whatever item of clothing I’ve used it on. Works for me!
