M had issues with eczema during her first year. It seems to have calmed down since then although we still do baths only every other day and use some good lotion. She did however, have cradle cap that just would not go away. At two, she still had the yellow flakes all over her head. I tried a number of things that did not work.
I was talking to my cousin a few months ago, and she said that she used the Burt’s Bees Baby Bee Shampoo Bar with her daughter. It’s natural and lasts forever. I’ve been using it since then, and within a week, the cradle cap was gone. It has not returned. I’ll still be using this same bar for at minimum for the rest of the year. It definitely works for me!

Great tip! My Reagan still has a little cradle cap and she is two. I have tried everything also.

We call it cradle crap in our house. And my youngest is plagued with it right now. I’ll have to see if I can locate some of these Burt’s Bees Baby Bee Shampoo Bars. Thanks for the recommendation.

Burt’s Bees Apricot Baby Oil also works well for cradle cap, if it comes back. I washed the baby’s hair, then rinsed it, then as I was diapering, etc. I would put the oil on to “soak,” and once she had her jammies on, I would use a baby comb to comb out the loosened bits, and alternate with the baby brush to help really get them out (they would stick in her hair). This has worked for me through two babies. I’ll definitely try the shampoo bar if we ever have #3!

Must try this on my next one (Lord Willing) as all mine have had it, and nothing has worked, so far!
