I receive and make a lot of phone calls at my job….a lot….Okay, even more than a lot, and that’s in between all the other work I get done in the chaos that is a long-term care/skilled nursing facility these days.

Never is it a dull day…..NEVER.

Anyway, the other day, I had the best voice mail I’ve ever received in my life.  By best, I mean the most absolutely hilarious, fall on the floor laughing stress relief message I’ve ever heard.  It went something like this:

“Hi this is Jane Doe from Nevercare HMO calling you back regarding resident ABC.  You left me your number of 123-456-7890, but I called it and it didn’t work.  I need you to call me back and give me your number so I can get a hold of you.  Thanks.”

Take your time….I’ll wait while you pick yourself up off the floor from laughing.

I called her back and when I didn’t get her in person, left the following message:

“Hi Jane.  This is K from urban healthcare center.  I got your message.  You do have my correct number because you called and left me a message which I did receive.  Call me if you need anything else or have any questions.  Thanks.”

She still hasn’t called me back.  I think she’s embarassed.

I saved the voice mail for stress relief on the days that really try my patience.
