Hi there!
Surprised to see me?! It has been a while hasn’t it?.
I’m knocking on wood as I tell you that it seems we may all finally be nearly well again at our house. If you don’t hear from me again for two weeks, just assume that the bug that has been floating around our house read that last statement and gathered itself to hit us with one more round of the most miserable cold/respiratory infection known to man.
Incredibly however, M has not been sick since Thanksgiving. It’s been T and I who have borne the brunt of this unforgiving germ that has spread itself over the city like a plague.
Quite possibly, we would have recovered much more quickly if we had actually not been determined to drag ourselves to work for the past two, congested, sniffly, coughing weeks. I finally succumbed and went to the doctor this past Thursday and stayed home Friday as well.
With the help of some antibiotics, I have most of my voice back, am well enough to not keep an inhaler with me every second of the day, and actually had the energy to go some chores yesterday. Although, M is still dissappointed that I’m not up to chasing her around while holding the sheep from her Nativity set and baaing at her. Apparently, this is a highly entertaining activity when you’re two. We’ll just have to wait for my lungs to have a little more recovery time before I’m up for chasing and baaing.
Probaaaaaaaabaaaaaaably won’t be too long though.

Oh, I’m so sorry you’ve had to deal with this! We jokingly tell people that we had the plague at our house from about the end of November until about mid-December… all four of us kept passing it around. I hope you can get some rest and you’re up to Baa-ing by Christmas!
Thanks for the Christmas card– M is adorable! I did a very limited card list this year, as I made them all, and basically only did family and a few close friends.
You’d probably appreciate my blog post today regarding the gifts given to nursing home residents. I think you have to work there to truly appreciate it all.
I’m ending the world’s longest blog comment now…LOL!
Amy :)
