I have a confession to make…I am an addict. That’s right. I’m hopelessly addicted to the Food Network.
The Food Network is on in my house every day. I often have it on while I’m doing other things so I can absorb cooking ideas while I’m cleaning or returning email or whatever I happen to be doing at the moment. T and I usually watch Good Eats before conking out to sleep at night.
Watching all the cooking shows and listening to the tips all the chefs offer has definitely impacted my cooking. I’m much more adventurous in my cooking than I was several years ago. My cooking is also getting healthier because of what I’ve learned. I’m not nearly as intimidated by various techniques and recipes. I’ve even begun throwing dishes together on my own without a recipe when I think of something that might make a good meal. There are tons of dishes and techniques I’ve watched various chefs to or talk about that I haven’t had the chance to try yet. While I plan how to work them into my repetoire, I’ll keep feeding my Food Network addiction and keep the ideas building.
Do you watch the Food Network? How has it impacted your cooking?

I love the Food Network too. And Good Eats is one of my faves. I also love Paula Deen. I love good Southern cooking, but it’s so bad for you!
I’m visiting from Kailani’s Casting Call. Have a great day!

I used to watch Rachel Ray before she went spaz :) Actually it was very helpful back in the day, but it doesn’t fit in my schedule anymore.

Like you, I often have it on in the background while I’m doing other things. I especially like Paula Deen, Rachael Ray, and Alton Brown. I also like Iron Chef America, but I think I’m the only person on earth who watches it, LOL.

No, I’m not a food network addict, but I am definitely addicted to HGTV!!! We just got it back after going a couple of years without it, and I’m definitely in a binge cycle. Oh well… they say the first step is to admit you have a problem?
Hello, my name is Kim, and I’m a HGTVholic.
