Here’s this week’s Grilling Goodness questions from Tina!

1. When you were growing up dreaming of having children…dreaming of what their names would be…did you stick with those names? We haven’t for The Bean’s name.  If we’re blessed with a son, the name we’ve chosen isn’t one I thought of while I was growing up.  But if we had a second son, I have a feeling one of those names might pop up.

2. Are you affected by the death of Michael Jackson? No.  He was an extremely talented individual who lived a troubled life.  We’ll probably never know the truth around all the controversies surrounding him.  Mostly, I’m sad that he probably didn’t have much that was real in his life.

3. Do you use your dishwasher and your fireplace? We use the dishwasher regularly.  We just moved into our house with a fire place last month.  Seeing as it was 102 degrees here today, it will be a while before we ring in the fireplace.

4. Have you ever been on a mission trip? Unfortunately, no.  I have done summer mission activities through my church putting on neighborhood Bible studies when I was in high school.

5. Will your kids participate in a Vacation Bible school this summer? No. We both work and can’t get her back and forth to daycare and VBS.

6. What about the economy is affecting you the worst? The price of gas is still a irritant for me even though it’s lower than it was.  We have friends who are very concerned about layoffs and having enough work.  At this point, that doesn’t appear to be anything that T or I will be facing.

7. Do your kids do chores? The Bean does a few small things like picking up her toys and putting the dirty clothes in the hamper.  When I vaccumm, I get her to help move things.  But I have been thinking about what other things I can start having her do.  Any ideas or suggestions?

8. Do you use energy efficient light bulbs? When we moved into our house, just about all the bulbs are CFLs.  So yep!
