UPDATE – Sadly, Bo and Dixie are no longer with us. They escaped our yard 4 times in less than 2 weeks. The last time they got out, they didn’t return. We hope they have found a happy home somewhere.
Meet Bo and Dixie. We adopted them from a friend of a friend who was moving and couldn’t take them. The only shelter they could take them to would have put them down after 4 days. So they came to live with us. The Bean is over the moon!!! We’re all enjoying having them in the family.

It’s going pretty well. We expected and still expect some growing pains on both ends…us and the dogs. They’re doing well and responding to limits. We’re learning more about how to best set those limits with them. Best of all, they are GREAT with The Bean, and she LOVES them. We’ll all get there with everything else!

Sorry I missed your last few posts, they only showed up in my reader today! I love the new additions. It is huge to take two dogs on, we had two and are down to one and he is still a hand full. Best wishes for you guys.
I love your holiday pics. Bean’s dress up area is awesome.

Beautiful dogs and how wonderful that you saved them from a worse fate. They look like they’re in good hands. I found your site from the ultimate blog party and wanted to stop by and say hello!

Ahh love the beautiful dogs! I am happy to see you rescued!! I stumbled across your page looking for a crockpot pork recipe with apples (I am dyyying to break out the crockpot) and then I saw that you saved these two! I am a foster for a local rescue, so it warms my heart to see those who save animals!
And I will be making the pork in the morning! Sooo excited to come home to the scent (that is if my pup doesn’t make it on to the counter!)!
