Add me to the no high chair thing. I just don't like them. We have a seat that clips to the table. J loved it and now Apple sits there during dinner, forever. We have a similar seat for when we are not at home as I found that the clip chair doesn't work on all tables. J went straight from the clip chair to the regular chair and there was no looking back.

Great baby shower gift idea!!

I love the hairdo's. I have (almost) always had long hair. And my Sister's all had long hair as kids, so I found it strange when Hubby asked if I would let Apple's hair grow long. I said, 'Of course'! I just can't wait to do her hair in ribbons and updo's. After all the boys in my life, my time has come.

We have this booster seat and love it. I don't know where I'd put a high chair, and I love that Chickster can sit at the table with Husband and me (sort of) while we eat.

I agree totally! I wasted my money on a highchair. We switched to a booster seat at a year and that's all we'll use with any future children. Plus, DD loves actually being at the table with us.

When DD was just moved into her big-girl bed, we finally had to put up a gate across the door to her room. She could play with quiet toys in her room, but we wouldn't come or help. There were a couple of nights she actually fell asleep on the floor with her toys, but it was better (we thought) than fighting with her all night wanting to come out of her room.

She also was not potty-trained at this time, so bathroom trips weren't an issue for us.... so, I guess I'm not really helping much here. ;) Now at age 5 she's allowed to go to the bathroom without using her nightly "hall pass", but she can't talk to anyone- just straight there and back.
